A Cozy Family-Friendly Vacation Rental in Downtown Two Harbors
Fox+Fern Cottage is your cozy home away from home. Our Cottage is walkable to nearly everything in Two Harbors. We are a mile walk to the lake and less than that to Castle Danger Brewery. Fantastic base to explore the North Shore (see reviews). Our yard is a quiet oasis with outdoor seating and swings galore. Rarely will you need the A/C (though we have it) in the summer with the cool lake breezes that flow through the shaded house. There's room to pitch a tent on the patio rubber mulch too.
The yard has a private patio space along with a pebble play pit for the kiddos and tent swing hanging from one of the trees, and 1-2 hammocks. We recently added a weatherproof bags set as well as a disc swing. We hope you enjoy our home away from home just as we do.
The bunk room features a lofted twin and an small futon couch underneath. We also have a pack-n-play, toddler cot, and big kid cot- we've used these in the 2nd bedroom, master bedroom, and even front entry/coat room.
There is also room in the yard to pitch a small tent if more space is needed or some additional adventure for the kids.

"My boyfriend and I had a really good time there. It was our first trip together and I got to show him where I used to go up North as a child. It was the perfect size for a couple or small family. There were so many pots and pans available which made it easier for us to cook in to save money. There were a lot of cute places around town that were a short walk away. It would’ve been better in the summer or spring so we could’ve used the outside amenities but we had an amazing time regardless."

The Fox+Fern Cottage is Now Open
For decades our family has been visiting the North Shore. During that time it has been our dream to have a place of our own on the North Shore. A place of rest and refreshment, and not just for our family, but to share with other families and couples. When we were furnishing, decorating, and updating Fox+Fern our goal was to create a space of unexplainable peace, a place you want to return to again and again and again. A place where families can connect, laugh, and renew relationships. A place where you can walk to the shores of Lake Superior, enjoy the best coffee shop in town- Cedar Coffee, eat at restaurants just around the block, and frequent playgrounds a short walk away in a quite neighborhood.
